A Game Anthology Thesis in Space

Roger roger. Hello, Captain! You command a single ship — a grain of dust in an ever-changing galaxy. You are also a creator, plagued to imagine ideas without the knowledge or skill to build them alone. Yet you have met those who can complete the first step — or the second. Together, people forge unrepeatable universes. So yes, your cosmic footprint may be small... but the universe shivers in anticipation of the fleet.

As an ending to a chapter of my life, I created this game anthology to document my time at UCLA and in learning the process of game development.  - Nicolette (https://nico007.itch.io/)

For the player:

- Keep the volume up...

- Mouse click interactions

- Complete missions in space :)

All art assets are original aside from VFX and the skybox, and some sound files are from Pixabay. This was a solo development game.

This was one of the coolest CVs I've ever seen. The framing of your game development journey with Star Wars specifically in mind feels especially poignant with how Star Wars takes lessons from The Hero's Journey, and by nature you give that feeling of narrative growth to your own accomplishments. Extremely well done!

PS: Love the font choice of this!

Heehee, thanks Anooj! Nothing like improving myself as a narrative like Star Wars. Watching Andor right now... the dialogue is so impressive...

A CV in a video game? It works! Yet, it is more than just a resume, it is an emotional bond (pun intended) between the dev and player, giving insight into the processes in gave development from a very personal perspective. Hearing the voices describing these stories gives these games they have developed a certain professional flair that would be otherwise lost to a dev blog or report. Amazing work!

Thanks for playing, you are one of my many crew members who made this journey possible. :) Perhaps one day it will be safe to reflect on our project.
